Join your Toronto Centre neighbours for a day dedicated to environmental sustainability and community engagement! Our annual Community Environment Day offers a variety of activities and services designed to help you make a positive impact on our planet.
What to Expect:
- Free Bagged Compost: Pick up nutrient-rich compost to enrich your garden soil.
- Free Seed Giveaway: Pick up some seeds for your community garden or personal garden, courtesy of Fred Victor Seed Library. Find your local Seed Library here!
- Household Hazardous Waste Disposal: Safely dispose of items like paints, batteries, and chemicals.
- Donations: Bring gently used household items and clothing, as well as non-parishable food items for the Allan Gardens Food Bank.
- City Programs Info: Discover valuable resources and services offered by the City to support sustainable living.
- Free Community BBQ: Come and enjoy some freshly grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, courtesy of the Local 416.
- Free Ice Cream & Slushies: Come and enjoy an ice cream or slushie! We will be handing out vouchers to redeem at the ice cream truck. First come, first serve.
