2026 Interim Property Taxes

How are interim property taxes calculated?

The 2026 interim property tax is calculated based on 50 per cent of the total property tax billed in 2025, excluding any tax rebates, deferrals or tax cancellations processed in 2025.

Does the City provide any tax relief for elderly homeowners?

The City offers Property Tax, Water and Solid Waste Relief programs that provide financial support to eligible low-income seniors and residents with disabilities in Toronto. This support includes property tax deferrals, cancellations and utility rate rebates. More information is available on the Property Tax and Utility Relief Program webpage
