Toronto Centre is a vibrant community filled with remarkable individuals who go above and beyond to make our neighbourhoods a better place to live, work, and play. It's inspiring to witness the boundless dedication, energy, and passion that our residents pour into improving our community.
Throughout the past year, I've had the pleasure of meeting countless incredible people who have truly made a difference. From tending to public gardens and adorning our streets with beautiful murals, to championing safer neighbourhoods and even naming our beloved laneways, their contributions have made our neighbourhoods more lively, connected, and vibrant.
Now, it's time to come together as a community and give these outstanding individuals the recognition they deserve.
The Community Builder Awards will be presented annually at our Neighbourhood Town Halls to recognize and honour the unsung heroes of our neighbourhoods! This is our chance to shine a spotlight on those who have gone above and beyond to create positive change in Toronto Centre.
Who can be nominated?
All residents of Toronto Centre are encouraged to nominate individuals who have made a positive impact on our community. Whether they organize after-school programs, mentor our youth, lead initiatives promoting well-being, or work to preserve our shared history, we want to recognize their exceptional efforts.
How to nominate?
Nominations are open to everyone, and we encourage you to participate in this celebration of our community's remarkable individuals. To nominate someone, ensure the following criteria are met:
- The nominee lives within the boundaries of Toronto Centre.
- They have made a significant contribution to the community within the last 2 years.
- Their contributions have been voluntary, going beyond their regular paid employment.
- The nominator also resides within the boundaries of Toronto Centre.
- Nominations are accepted year-round.
