Starting in October 2025, ECS and TTC are planning construction work along Queen Street East between Broadview Avenue and Davies Avenue. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of April 2026.
The work includes:
- Replacing the 112-year-old watermains on Queen Street E. between Broadview Avenue and Davies Avenue, and along Munro Street.
- Replacing the streetcar tracks on Queen Street E. from Broadview Avenue to 20 metres east of the DVP north ramp. The streetcar tracks were last replaced 23 years ago.
Impacts:
- Between October 2025 to February 2026, 501 Queen Streetcar will be diverting via Broadview, Dundas and Parliament.
- Between October 2025 to February 2026, 503 Kingston Road Bus Replacement will operate through the watermain work area, re-routed via Queen to Parliament, running between Bingham Loop and King and York.
- Between October 2025 to February 2026, 504 King Streetcar will be operating as far east as Distillery Loop. The 504 King replacement bus will operate through the work area, running between Broadview Station and King and Parliament
- Between March 2026 to April 2026, one Eastbound lane will be maintained through the work area. 501 Queen and 504 King Streetcar diversions will be consistent with the previous phase.
