Environment Day
Community Environment Days is one of many waste reduction programs and initiatives supporting the City’s Long Term Waste Management Strategy. This program helps reduce the amount of reusable or recyclable waste going to landfill and allow for safe disposal of household hazardous waste.
Every year, families gather to learn new things about their neighbourhoods, community and the natural habitat around them. This year there will be free bagged compost at Regent Park and a booth for donation items! We'll be with Toronto Animal Services for animal chipping and registration and Toronto Police Services for bicycle registrations. Additionally, Metrolinx will have their booth open for transit questions and Local 416 will be on-site grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for the community!
