Community Environment Day in Regent Park: July 13!

Community Environment Days are one of many waste reduction programs and initiatives supporting the City’s Long Term Waste Management Strategy. These events help divert reusable or recyclable waste from landfills and allow for safe disposal of household hazardous waste.

Come on down to drop off used goods and pick up some free bagged compost for your garden; Learn more about the space we’re in with Friends of Regent Park.

If you live in the community, Toronto Animal Services will be offering free pet chipping and registration at their mobile truck, while Toronto Police Services will be offering free bicycle registration. If you have receipts and old documents that need to be shredded, bring them to be shredded and recycled! We have also invited TDSB Trustee Williams, Metrolinx’s Community Engagement team, Toronto Community Housing, and Toronto Fire Services.

Come say hi to me and my team and feel free to meet other City divisions and ask them questions! Special thanks to Local 416 for helping serve the community BBQ hamburgers and Hotdogs with additional vegetarian options!
