More than 130 residents participated in community safety meetings hosted by my office and Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) this spring in St. James Town and Moss Park. The meetings brought together residents, TCHC staff, Toronto Police Service, the City's Violence Intervention and Support Unit, Fred Victor, and Unison Health and Community Services to discuss local safety concerns and identify solutions.

Summer is finally here, and it was an extremely busy spring session at City Hall.  From FIFA and Pride preparations, to passing the pedestrianization of Church Street at council, I’m here for you, delivering results, working with our Mayor and Council, and standing up for all of us.

RentSafeTO’s colour coding system goes live on June 15, 2026.  Just like with DineSafe, rental buildings will have signs to display near the main entrance of each applicable building, indicating that the rating of the building is green, yellow, or red.  It’s a great way to ensure that landlords act swiftly to address issues, and I hope that displaying a green sign will quickly become a real point of pride for landlords.
