Moss Park Movie Night: See The Wild Robot, July 25!

Join me and CUPE Local 416 for our annual Family-Friendly Movie Nights in the Park, where community fun meets cinematic magic under the stars! On July 25 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at 260 Queen Street East, you can enjoy a free outdoor movie screening, popcorn and drinks!

This year, we're screening The Wild Robot! Per its Wikipedia page, "The film follows a service robot shipwrecked on an uninhabited island who must adapt to her surroundings, build relationships with the local wildlife, and become the adoptive mother of an orphaned goose."

Over the years, we've delighted our residents and constituents with screenings like Super Mario Bros (2023) at St. James Town Open Space in 2023 and Turning Red (2022) at Moss Park in 2024. I'm looking forward to seeing what I hope will be another classic this year! Mark your calendars now and experience an unforgettable night in your local green space!

More than 130 residents participated in community safety meetings hosted by my office and Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) this spring in St. James Town and Moss Park. The meetings brought together residents, TCHC staff, Toronto Police Service, the City's Violence Intervention and Support Unit, Fred Victor, and Unison Health and Community Services to discuss local safety concerns and identify solutions.
