Outdoor Ice Rinks Opening for the 2025/2026 Season

As we head into the winter season, City staff are working hard to get outdoor ice rinks ready for another season. Some rinks will be open for November 29, with the rest expected to open by December 6. Residents are encouraged to check the status of a rink in case there is a temporary change in operations due to weather, repairs or maintenance at toronto.ca/skate.

Check before heading over in case the rink you’re headed to is undergoing repairs or maintenance. Sustained temperatures above zero degrees, as well as rain and sun can impact the City’s ability to maintain and build the ice on outdoor rinks. Residents are encouraged to check toronto.ca/skate to see the status of their rink.

More than 130 residents participated in community safety meetings hosted by my office and Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) this spring in St. James Town and Moss Park. The meetings brought together residents, TCHC staff, Toronto Police Service, the City's Violence Intervention and Support Unit, Fred Victor, and Unison Health and Community Services to discuss local safety concerns and identify solutions.
