City of Toronto - Budget Consultation (virtual)

The City’s budget is about working together to build a safe, caring and affordable city where everyone belongs. Your feedback is an important part of the process.

From November 1 to 30, Toronto residents are invited to share their ideas about the City’s 2024 Budget and Toronto’s future in virtual and in-person consultations and through an online survey available on the 2024 BudgetTO webpage.

Building Healthy Communities Forum

My team and I have been diligently working to address the numerous concerns that were raised during the six Neighborhood Town Halls. This includes challenges related to individuals living with mental health and addiction issues, as well as those who are experiencing housing instability.

I'm excited to announce that on November 20, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Toronto Metropolitan University, I, as the Chair of the Board of Health and your local Councillor, will be hosting a "Building Healthy Communities Forum." We have invited panelists from Toronto Public Health, SafeTO, Social Development Finance and Administration, and the Toronto Police to participate. This forum presents an excellent opportunity for both residents and service providers to learn about several new initiatives that the City of Toronto will be launching in the Downtown East over the next year.

Host: Councillor Chris Moise, City of Toronto, Ward 13 - Toronto Centre

Panelists:
  • Akwatu Khenti, Director of Community Resources
  • Mohamed Shuriye, Director of Community Safety and Wellbeing
  • Pauline Larsen, Executive Director, Downtown Yonge BIA
  • Uppala Chandrasekera, Director of Public Health, Toronto Public Health
  • Kelly Skinner, A/Staff Superintendent, Toronto Police Service
