Regent Park Summer Jam: June 13

Join us for this year’s Regent Park Summer Jam — a free community celebration focused on bringing neighbours together and kicking off the summer season in a positive and welcoming way. The event will take place on Saturday, June 13 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm in Regent Park (620 Dundas Street East) and will feature live entertainment, free food, family-friendly activities, community resources, and opportunities for residents to connect with local organizations and safety partners.

This year’s Summer Jam will include:

  • Free halal and vegetarian BBQ options
  • Music from DJ Focus
  • Live performances by Levi Conscious and Soul Full Band
  • Bouncy castles and activities for children and families
  • A community bazaar and local engagement booths
  • Opportunities to connect with neighbourhood organizations and City partners

Events like Summer Jam are an important reminder of what makes Regent Park such a strong and vibrant community. They create opportunities for residents, families, youth, community organizations, and local partners to come together, build relationships, and celebrate the diversity and spirit of the neighbourhood.

I would also like to thank Toronto Community Housing, Toronto Fire Services, Toronto Police Service, Daniels, Tridel, City of Toronto staff, community organizations, and all of the volunteers and partners helping make this year’s event possible. I encourage everyone to come out, enjoy the afternoon, and celebrate the start of summer together in Regent Park.

More than 130 residents participated in community safety meetings hosted by my office and Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) this spring in St. James Town and Moss Park. The meetings brought together residents, TCHC staff, Toronto Police Service, the City's Violence Intervention and Support Unit, Fred Victor, and Unison Health and Community Services to discuss local safety concerns and identify solutions.
