Starting June 15, 2026, building owners and operators must display these colour-coded signs – green, yellow or red. The signs are designed to make building conditions more transparent and easier to understand. It provides clear, accessible information for tenants and the public, helping everyone see how buildings are performing and where improvements may be needed.
Community members are encouraged to stop by, ask questions, view the sample signs, and learn more about the RentSafeTO program and the City’s ongoing efforts to improve building maintenance conditions across Toronto.
