Celebrate Toronto’s shifting shoreline and discover how the lake’s edge was reshaped by colonization, industrialism, and city-building with a community market-style gathering, tours, and a plaque unveiling at Berczy Park. It’ll be a splash! Learn about the history of our great lake while enjoying on-site community activations and historical interpretation throughout the day! Two free tours will be led at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm by Heritage Toronto staff. Join us at noon for a special double unveiling of two new Heritage Toronto plaques about the natural shoreline and the archaeological artifacts found there. Activities and a performance by Trash Panda Brass will follow throughout the day!
