Illuminate Halloween at Pumpkin Parades! Bring your best pumpkin carving creations to a participating Toronto park and cast a warm glow over the community.
The City provides organic disposal bins to help with post-event cleanup. Bins are collected and processed to create compost that can be used in City parks and gardens.
- An application form must be submitted by all groups: only community groups and BIA groups are permitted to submit applications; individuals are not accepted.
- Applications must include a map of the preferred location being requested – all locations are pending Solid Waste and Parks approval.
- Please ensure you apply for the correct permit type (Basic Pumpkin Parade vs. Special Event).
- Special Event fees will apply if your gathering or event includes:
- Serving food to the public
- Amplified Sound
- Food trucks
- Tents
- Fundraising
- Prizes
- Sale of items
Community Groups
Permit and insurance fees are FREE for a Basic Pumpkin Parade Permit.
Business Improvement Areas (BIAs)
Basic Pumpkin Parade Permit fees of $115.86 for up to 200 people will be applicable. The insurance fee is FREE.
Payment can be made:
- Online with a credit card using Family/Organization # and Client # (Client numbers can be obtained by calling 416- 396-7378 option 3).
- Over the telephone with a credit card by calling 416-396-7378 option 2.
Please note: It is extremely important to review the attendance of your event and the number of pumpkins being used. Solid Waste bins are assigned according to the attendance and number of pumpkins. Bins provided by Solid Waste are limited, and sizes cannot be changed at a later date.
Cleanup is required on the day of the event, and the park must restored to its original condition.
