St. James Town Community Arts: Call for Board Members

St. James Town Community Arts (SJTCA) is looking for new board members to build a stronger foundation and increae the impact to the community. Board members would be supporting their mission to make arts education free and accessible to children and youth. By empowering the next generation of artists, you can help uplift the St. James Town community.

Board members are being sought with expertise in securing funding, developing a home base, networking and outreach, and marketing and donor management. SJTCA board member are responsible for overseeing the organization, setting policy and providing strategic guidance to help further their mission. Members would need to commit to:

  • Meeting once every quarter for 1-hour;
  • Reviewing quarterly reports prior to each meeting; and
  • Strategic planning, goal setting, and networking outside of meetings.

As a non-profit arts organization, the SJTCA is committed to fostering anenvironment that supports and uplifts people from marginalized communities. Our artistic staff consists of emerging artists and educators, women, 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and people of colour.
