St. James Town Movie Night: September 5!

Join me and CUPE Local 416 for our annual Family-Friendly Movie Nights in the Park, where community fun meets cinematic magic under the stars! On September 5 from 8:00pm to 11:00pm on the open space behind 200 Wellesley Street East,  you can enjoy a free outdoor movie screening, popcorn and drinks!

Join us for a screening of Dog Man, an animated comedy from Dreamworks! When a faithful police dog and his human police officer owner are injured together on the job, a harebrained but life-saving surgery fuses the two of them together and Dog Man is born! As Dog Man embraces his new identity and strives to impress his Chief, he must stop the pretty evil plots of feline supervillain Petey the Cat. Petey's latest plan is to clone himself, doubling his ability to do crime stuff. Hijinks ensue!

I'm looking forward to seeing what I hope will be another classic this year! Mark your calendars now and experience an unforgettable night in your local green space!

More than 130 residents participated in community safety meetings hosted by my office and Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) this spring in St. James Town and Moss Park. The meetings brought together residents, TCHC staff, Toronto Police Service, the City's Violence Intervention and Support Unit, Fred Victor, and Unison Health and Community Services to discuss local safety concerns and identify solutions.
