Talkin’ Justice: Legal Education Workshops

Legal workshops and talks for community members. Join us for the 2025 Talkin’ Justice workshop series hosted on the third Tuesday of each month, 6 to 8pm, in person at The 519 or online via Zoom.

Examples of past workshops: tenant rights, employment and human rights law, wills and powers of attorney, health care rights, legal options for community members facing gender-based violence, and rights while interacting with police services.

Join us at the 519 for a conversation with Robyn Maynard, Assistant Professor at University of Toronto – Scarborough. Robyn writes extensively about borders, policing, abolition, and Black feminism.

Together we will learn about:

  • Surveillance, policing, and racism
  • Alternatives to policing and the criminal legal system
