TDSB Presents African Heritage Classes

The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) is launching four NEW African Heritage classes that students from kindergarten to Grade 8 can attend. Students in the African Heritage program will explore the history, culture, traditions, and contributions that people of African descent have made to Canada and the world. George Syme Community School (69 Pritchard Avenue, York) - Saturdays, 9:30am to 12:00pm
Portage Trail Community School (100 Sidney Belsey Crescent, North York) - Saturdays, 9:30am to 12:00pm
Cornell Junior Public School (61 Holmfirth Terrace, Scarborough) - Saturdays, 9:30am to 12:00pm
Mary Shadd Public School (135 Hupfield Trail, Scarborough) - Fridays, 5:00pm to 7:30pm

Church Street Pedestrianization Public Survey

Identify ‘N Impact Youth Grants - Apply by September 15!

The City of Toronto’s Identify ‘N Impact community grant helps promote youth engagement and community safety by providing up to $17K for youth-led (15-29) initiatives that help with violence prevention, mental health and well-being, skills development, arts and youth-friendly spaces. Applications are now open until September 15 at 12:00pm.

Opened last year, Biidaasige Park is expanding with 10 more acres of public waterfront space at 238 Cherry Street on Ookwemin Minising. With new places to walk, cycle, paddle, gather, enjoy public art and take in skyline views, residents and visitors are invited to come celebrate during opening weekend on July 25 and 26.
