My holiday banquets are a free event with music, food, and a celebration of those who make Toronto Centre incredible. Catch up with neighbours, listen to wonderful music performed by talented local youth, and learn about the amazing work done by our Community Builders Award recipients.

This year, we have 17 awards for our dedicated and selfless community builders, including two non-profit organizations, two City staff and a police officer who has been an incredible asset to our local communities.

I’m proud to acknowledge the 2025 Toronto Centre Community Builder Award recipients:

  • Connie Langile
  • Christine Dingeman
  • Wallace Immen
  • Rick Matthews

More than 130 residents participated in community safety meetings hosted by my office and Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) this spring in St. James Town and Moss Park. The meetings brought together residents, TCHC staff, Toronto Police Service, the City's Violence Intervention and Support Unit, Fred Victor, and Unison Health and Community Services to discuss local safety concerns and identify solutions.
