Prevent Frozen Pipes

Winter is approaching — it's time to protect your pipes from freezing. Throughout the winter, the City receives “no water” calls due to frozen pipes on residents' private property. Prevent the headaches that come with burst pipes – from water shortages to expensive property damage. You can take simple actions before temperatures drop to help avoid frozen pipes in your home. This includes unscrewing outside hoses, turning off the outdoor water supply and letting the taps drain. More simple prevention tips are available at toronto.ca/FrozenPipes.
