Toronto Community Crisis Service (TCCS) workers are now available on TTC subway line 1 (between Spadina and Bloor stations). TCCS provides free mental health supports citywide for Toronto residents 16 years of age or older and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Find more information on the City’s Toronto Community Crisis Service webpage.

How do people get help from TCCS on the TTC?

To get help from Toronto Community Crisis Service while on the TTC, use the SafeTTC app to request a wellness check, talk to a TTC employee or call 211. Toronto Community Crisis Service provides mental health support when you need it most.

Is this service available anywhere on the TTC?

Toronto Community Crisis Service is available citywide, 24 hours a week, 7 days a week. This is a new pilot project that will have TCCS workers stationed along the U line of TTC subway line 1 between Spadina and Bloor stations to better respond to individuals needing mental health support in TTC stations.

More than 130 residents participated in community safety meetings hosted by my office and Toronto Community Housing (TCHC) this spring in St. James Town and Moss Park. The meetings brought together residents, TCHC staff, Toronto Police Service, the City's Violence Intervention and Support Unit, Fred Victor, and Unison Health and Community Services to discuss local safety concerns and identify solutions.
