Improving Pedestrian Safety Across our Ward

Vibrant neighbourhoods have streets and sidewalks for residents to use and enjoy.

That’s why I successfully brought a motion to City Council to upgrade the intersection of Queen and Sackville, and all current crosswalks on our Ward’s streetcar routes, with traffic signals. It will be implemented on a prioritized and expedited basis. These will be accompanied by the removal of one parking spot at Oak and River in order to install planters that will improve sightlines and prevent improper parking. My staff are also actively advocating for the installation of speed humps on Oak, Sackville, and Sumach streets. I look forward to sharing more news about this later in the fall.

The Year Ahead

As your Councillor, I'm building a Toronto that's safe, livable, affordable, and commutable - for all of us.

After hearing from you at the door, on the street, at community events, at our town halls, and from letters and emails you’ve sent to me, my team and I are working hard to deliver.

Here's how this year's City budget will work for all of us:
